Request for Financial Support
Thank you for your interest in the Lowcountry Autism Foundation’s support program. As a part of its mission, the Lowcountry Autism Foundation is dedicated to providing support to the families of children who have or may have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The Foundation anticipates that funding will support services provided by licensed health care professionals in good standing, with experience and/or expertise working with children. Funding awards may vary, depending upon Foundation resources available at the time of application. The Foundation expects that families will rely on sources other than our support for primary funding, such as insurance, home equity loans, funds from family members, or other available sources. The Foundation will try to help every family seeking assistance. Applications will be evaluated based on several criteria including but not limited to financial need, in order to identify those applicants most likely to benefit from the Foundation’s support. For these reasons, the Foundation may also consider independent references to support its assessment of each application.
After receiving an application for assistance, the Foundation’s Board of Directors will send an acknowledgement, request any additional information necessary to consider the request, and evaluate all applications at its discretion. The Foundation will make every effort to act on each request within 2 weeks of receipt and acknowledgement of the application. All information provided will be treated confidentially.
In most cases, the Foundation will make financial support payments directly to the service provider. Please contact us if you have any questions or need further information.
